This course design will enable participants to learn how to prepare proposals designed for affordable housing projects or programs, such as housing construction/rehabilitation, program capacity building, community project/facilities, and infrastructure. Through a hands-on project development approach, course materials cover maximizing benefits through leveraging, matching project goals to funder’s goals, and preparing a statement of need, project description, implementation schedule, financial feasibility analysis, and project sustainability plan. Participants will be required to write key components of a grant and analyze an actual grant application.
